Our annual Texas hog and dove hunt is scheduled for 17 through 22 September 2026 (hunting dates 18-21 SEP) with Red Dirt Outfitters out of Wichita Falls. Minnesota area Veterans will leave early on Thursday, 18 September and return the evening of Tuesday, 23 September. Eight Veterans will be selected to pursue hogs and doves near Wichita Falls . If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a few days of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, and licenses will be provided. Transportation for Veterans living in and around Minnesota will be provided from a TBD meeting point in Minnesota. All other Veterans will self-transport to the hunting location. Selected Veterans are asked to bring an appropriate rifle (hog) and shotgun (dove), ammo, as well as clothing for hot, and potentially wet, Texas fall weather (camo is helpful for dove hunting). If you do not have a rifle and/or a shotgun, please notify WWGS. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying.
