Wounded Warriors Guide Service is excited to announce our first ever Gulf Coast Offshore Charter Fishing Event. This event will occur on July 2nd thru 5th in Surfside, Texas (July 1st thru 6th including travel time for those riding our van from Minnesota) and will include Offshore Charter boat and beach fishing as well as a fireworks show over the Gulf. This can be a very physically demanding fishing event as the boat will run, rain or shine with up to five-foot waves. Do not apply if you are prone to motion or sea sickness, have vertigo, or are not able to stand and fish for extended periods of time. Twelve Veterans will be selected for this event and notified shortly after the closing of applications. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a few days of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, and all necessary fishing equipment will be provided. Selected Veterans are responsible for transportation to Surfside, Texas or to a TBD location in Minnesota and appropriate clothes for a variety of weather conditions. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event. Also, ensure you update your profile to include verifying your contact information and uploading your DD214 and VA verification information before applying.
