We provide outdoor recreational activities for disabled veterans of the United States Armed Forces, these activities and related expenses are provided at no cost.


Apply for Membership


You must be an approved member of the Wounded Warriors Guide Service in order to apply for events. Once your membership is approved, you will have access to apply for all events.

    If you applied for the Turkey Hunt (which is on the same days as this event), but prefer to be considered for this one, you must cancel that before applying for this event!!!

    Our annual Missouri paddlefish fishing event is scheduled for April 24-28, 2024, in Central Missouri. Six Veterans will be selected and notified shortly after the closing of applications. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a day or two of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, transportation from a TBD meeting point in Minnesota, and licenses will be provided. Selected Veterans are asked to bring appropriate clothes for cold spring mornings. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and significant other, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event. Also, ensure you update your profile to include verifying your contact information and uploading your DD214 and VA verification information.

    Our annual Missouri turkey hunting event is scheduled for April 24-28 in Northwestern Missouri. Four Veterans will be selected for this event and notified shortly after the closing of applications. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a day or two of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, transportation from a TBD meeting point in Minnesota, and licenses will be provided. Selected Veterans are asked to bring a shotgun appropriate for taking turkeys, appropriate ammo, and camouflage clothes for a variety of spring Missouri weather conditions. If you do not have a shotgun notify WWGS and one will be provided. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event. Also, ensure you update your profile to include verifying your contact information and uploading your DD214 and VA disability verification information.

    • Lakes of the Ozarks, Missouri

    WWGS will host a crappie fishing event May 9th thru 12th (this is the weekend of Minnesota's fishing opener and Mother's Day) in the Lakes of the Ozarks region of Missouri. Six Veterans will be selected for this event and notified shortly after the closing of applications. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a few days of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, transportation from a TBD meeting point in Minnesota, fishing equipment, and licenses will be provided. Selected Veterans are asked to bring appropriate clothes for cold, and possibly wet, spring mornings. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event. Also, ensure you update your profile to include verifying your contact information and uploading your DD214 and VA verification information.

    WWGS is conducting a trout/crappie/bass/kayak fishing event on May 23-28, 2024, in Northern Arkansas. Four Veterans will be selected and notified shortly after the closing of applications. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a few days of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, transportation from a TBD meeting point in Minnesota, and licenses will be provided. Selected Veterans are asked to bring appropriate clothes for a variety of Arkansas spring weather. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event. Also, ensure you update your profile to include verifying your contact information and uploading your DD214 and VA verification information.

    • Trapper's Landing Lodge, Walker, Minnesota

    This year's annual Take a Vet Fishing event will occur on June 15th at Trappers Landing Lodge on Leech Lake near Walker, Minnesota. Wounded Warriors Guide Service, Reed's Family Outdoor Outfitters, Trappers Landing Lodge, along with local guides and boat captains, will provide a day on the lake for one hundred Veterans. A fish dinner and raffle will follow the day of fishing. To register send an email to LeechLakeVetFishing@gmail.com. This event is limited to 100 Veterans. All travel, lodging, licenses, etc. are your responsibility. Please don't register if you aren't dedicated to attending since you will, potentially, be taking a spot from another deserving Veteran. Entry deadline is June 8th.
