      <title>Annual Crosslake Family Camping Weekend (27 Aug 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#050505" face="Segoe UI Historic, Segoe UI, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;The annual Wounded Warriors Guide Service Crosslake family camping weekend is set for August 27th through 30th near Crosslake, Minnesota. Nineteen campsites (camper or tent) have been offered, and nineteen Veterans will be selected to attend this event. This is a family-oriented event so Veterans with families and/or guests (up to six guests) are encouraged to apply.&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#050505" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a day or two of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Check-in is&amp;nbsp;&lt;font color="#050505" face="Segoe UI Historic, Segoe UI, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif"&gt;after 2:00 PM&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;Thursday afternoon and the campers are responsible for the meal that night as well as Friday breakfast and lunch. There will be a meal provided Friday evening. Saturday will start with breakfast followed by activities such as fishing, kayaking, hiking, and other kids/family events throughout the day and will include a bag lunch. That evening there will be a great meal for dinner followed by a movie and kettle popcorn (weather permitting). Sunday is a continental breakfast and departure day. Participants are responsible for all transportation to and from event, camping equipment including tents, camper, sleeping bags etc., and fishing licenses if you wish to fish.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font color="#050505" face="Segoe UI Historic, Segoe UI, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, etc. before applying.
